Rockstar Bay Academy updates return April 3rd

To my dearest friends and readers,

After my February newsletter, I hoped to keep up a steady stream of communication. Now that the first quarter of the year is over, even Substack has written to me to say, "Ah, earth to Elle Fielding, is anyone home?" While I’ve been silent on the surface, beneath the surface, my legs have been paddling like never before. My goal is to bring you a full nine months of exciting, sexy, and emotional content. I'm announcing that this will be the year I finish things. We know I’ve said this before, but as I mentioned in February, I’ve been experimenting with AI. I've discovered ways to improve my writing speed and quality by asking AI for help with the following things:

• developmental editing • basic line editing • brainstorming of motivations, backstories, and plot twists • changing the POV character quickly • changing from past to present tense and vice versa • changing from third person to first person and vice versa • outlining and comparing two scenes to see which will fit better

Subsequently, I’m now in a strong position to achieve my content goals.

Rockstar Bay Academy - The Return

I’m pleased to announce that Episode 30 of Rockstar Bay Academy, "The Non-Date" (EDITED VERSION), will be officially published on Substack and Radish on Monday, April 3rd. Episode 32 will be published on April 5th, and Episode 33 will be published on April 7th. Updates will continue on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays until complete. Once that’s over, I have enough content to publish three episodes a week of a string of stories (on Radish or Substack) for a long time (hopefully until the end of the year, probably longer).

In other news

I plan to publish four books this year, starting with the revised, edited, and longer version of I Love You, My Neighbour in June. Yay! I’ll be reaching out to look for ARC readers next month.

I’ve used Google Play’s auto-narrated audiobook feature to create audiobooks for Trusting the Enemy Next Door and The Other Brother. I love audiobooks, so this was hugely exciting for me. Of course, I’d love to invest in actual voice actors, but simply can’t afford to do so just yet.

Lastly

I know my newsletters can be randomly timed and all over the place, and I want you to know I’m working on that. I’m much better at fiction than non-fiction, and I’m still trying to get the hang of writing newsletters well, if I’m honest.
